Android tells an app nothing when it is uninstalled, and these builds are not distributed through Play, so a true uninstall count does not exist. "Gone quiet" counts installs whose heartbeat has stopped — uninstalled, or simply not opened since. Treat it as the upper bound on people lost, not an exact figure.
